Amie is extremely busy, so I'm updating our blog today.
Amie is working on a new commissioned art piece, and she is really excited about it. It will be completed on cloth and hung like a tapestry. That type of project is new for her, so it's a neat challenge. Also, we recently attended the grand opening of Aunt Bernie's hotel in Richardson, Texas. Amie wore a green dress that was incredible, and to brag I will be putting up a picture of that evening on the blog. Really, she did look lovely. See...
I recently completed the Stonebridge Triathlon. It's been a long term goal for me, but I never made the time to train for it. This year, I changed my tune, set my mind on it, and completed the tri. It was a lot of fun, and I'm planning on doing the olympic distance this next year. I had a much better swim split than I thought I would, lost a lot of my time on the bike portion (had to borrow a friends steel framed mountain bike, rough when your racing against carbon fiber road bikes), and did fairly well on my run. We will upload pictures soon.
The boys came to watch me at the race, and having Amie and them there was fantastic. I love seeing them, but running by them when I was coming out of the lake after a long swim was a huge boost. We have pictures of them at the tri and around town as well. Check back soon for those. Aiden is always asking to go for a run, and he now speaks more spanish than many Texans! Jackson is, as always, being a flirtatious little boy, trying to get his way, and moving over, under, around, and through anything that gets in his way.
